December 30, 2010 - Greenphire's ClinCard selected by University of Kansas Medical Center Research Institute
Greenphire's ClinCard technology has been selected by one of the nation’s largest medical research programs, the University of Kansas Medical Center Research Institute located in Kansas City, Kansas. The ClinCard system will be used to reimburse all subjects enrolled in the more than 100 clinical trials conducted at the Research Institute each year.
The University of Kansas engaged in conversations with Greenphire after learning about the ClinCard solution from a site coordinator at another University. Initial inquiries were driven by the concept of reducing costs and administration while increasing patient satisfaction.
After a lengthy analysis of the ClinCard’s benefits, and the Research Institute’s internal administrative costs, the Institute selected the ClinCard as its sole stipend management system, citing the ClinCard’s potential to significantly reduce costs (50% reduction in cost per patient payment) while also reducing administrative costs by as much as 85% for its more than 100 investigators and 250 study coordinators. Additionally, the benefits of maintaining direct lines of communication with study subjects through the ClinCard's messaging capabilities were recognized to offer significant value in terms of patient retention, compliance, and satisfaction.
After meeting with more than 100 key members of the Research Institute’s team, including finance and legal department employees, investigators, and coordinators, Greenphire put together a comprehensive proposal that will allow the Research Institute to use the ClinCard system across the University for many years.
