Greenphire was started in 2007 with a vision of creating a globally scalable technology system to allow sponsors to electronically deliver stipend and reimbursement payments to clinical study subjects while significantly improving site level work flow efficiency. As the founders began developing the ClinCard System they recognized that their future clients would greatly benefit from the integration of a proprietary messaging platform that automatically triggered protocol specific reminders via text (SMS), email, and voice messages. The ClinCard System was born!
Evolution of The ClinCard SystemThe ClinCard System was initially only offered for use by sponsors implementing the system across all sites in a specific study. As adoption began investigators began to contact Greenphire directly asking if the ClinCard could be implemented directly at their site for use in all of their studies. Greenphire responded and created a version of the ClinCard System that could be deployed by an individual site to be used as an operational tool.
The Subject Messaging SystemIn early 2010, following the ClinCard System's evolution and increased adoption throughout the industry, Greenphire developed and launched the Subject Messaging System to enable sponsors to deploy stand-alone protocol-specific Subject Messaging Programs (appointment and compliance reminders in local language) to subjects on a global scale.
eClinicalGPSOnce the Subject Messaging System had been launched and the ClinCard System had been battle tested, Greenphire’s clients asked for an expanded solution that could not only manage patient payments and messaging, but could also centrally manage all global clinical payments, including investigator grant payments, vendor payments and patient payments. Greenphire then began to develop a web-based Clinical Global Payment System, the eClinicalGPS, which was launched in June 2011. The eClinicalGPS enables sponsors and CROs to manage the approval and release of all global site, vendor, and subject payments, in local currency, directly from a secure web-based portal. The eClinicalGPS will also enable investigators and vendors to receive, reconcile, and manage payments from each of their sponsors who utilize the eClinicalGPS from a single web-based portal designed specifically for investigators and vendors.
Industry AdoptionSince Greenphire’s founding in 2007, our technologies have been adopted by over 140 unique clients (sponsors, CROs, patient recruitment organizations, sites, and research universities) throughout North America, Europe, and select countries in Asia and Asia Pacific. Greenphire is actively supporting over 1,200 clinical trial sites, 6,000 studies, and 60,000 patients in over a dozen languages.
